Fort Lytton National Park

Fort Lytton provides a wonderful opportunity to explore a typical 19th century fortress, concealed behind grassy embankments and surrounded by a water-filled moat. The museum showcases a comprehensive display and interpretation of important aspects of Queensland’s military and social history, from 1879 through to the 1950s. The museum also offers tours of Fort Lytton.

Entry is free and bookings are not necessary unless a specific timeslot is required. The first tour is at 10.30 am and the last tour is at 2.00 pm. Tours take approximately 90 minutes.

Fort Lytton is closed to the general public on weekdays, but group tours can be arranged. Bookings are essential and fees apply.
