Beach Couture: A Haute Mess

'Beach Couture' is a collection of wearable pieces made of trash collected from beaches and oceans. It makes visible, in a grotesquely amusing fashion, what is often overlooked - but shouldn’t be. The works highlight a growing problem - and provoke action.

Plastic pollution has become ubiquitous in our oceans and on our shores. Beach Couture is a collection of wearable pieces made of trash collected from beaches and oceans.

It makes visible, in a grotesquely amusing fashion, what is often overlooked – but shouldn’t be. The works highlight a growing problem – and provoke action.

A touring exhibition from artist Marina DeBris.

The museum is open Wednesday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and Saturday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
