Bribie Island bird walk and talk
Presented by Bribie Island Seaside Museum.
Did you know that because the island has such a broad range of habitats, it is possible to see close to 300 species of birds? This walk will give the opportunity to identify and learn about the common birds that we see and hear along the foreshore, and at Buckley’s Hole.
Local bird enthusiast and U3A teacher Alex Ferguson will be leading the bird walk from the Bribie Island Seaside Museum to Buckley’s Hole, and returning to the museum.
To ensure you get the most from the walk, please BYO binoculars (if possible). Closed in footwear is essential and soft colour clothing is recommended – no bright Fluro colours.
This walk is part of the Bribie – your stories, our stories exhibition where we are turning our museum over to you. Bribie – your stories, our stories is a place to share, learn and laugh about all that we know and love about this place.
Light refreshments will be provided at the end of the walk. Bookings are essential as places are limited.
