Brisbane City Christmas Tree
The lighting of the tree is on Friday 25 November, 6.30pm.
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas when Brisbane City’s iconic Christmas Tree emerges in King George Square.
Standing tall at 22-metres, Brisbane City’s Christmas Tree is one of the largest in the Southern Hemisphere and has been a long-standing tradition dating back to the 1950s.
This year, the Lighting of the Christmas Tree presented by The Lott by Golden Casket will be held at King George Square from 6.30pm on Friday 25 November.
Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner will turn on the tree’s twinkling lights accompanied by special Christmas musical performances to get you in the festive mood.
Following the official lighting event, the Christmas Tree will remain in King George Square for all to enjoy this festive season.
