Fetch the doctor!

Exhibition at the Pine Rivers Heritage Museum.

Fetch the doctor! explores the grim yet fascinating medical history of pioneers of the local region.

Have you ever had a vaccine? Taken antibiotics? Been operated on by a robot? We rely on modern medicine to keep us alive and well, but what did survival look like 100 years ago?

Fetch the doctor! explores the grim yet fascinating medical history of pioneers of the local region. We uncover the challenges of getting to a doctor; the popular potions which proved toxic; and the life and death choices that had to be made.

Featuring intriguing and sometimes disturbing surgical equipment, killer pills and medical misadventure, Fetch the doctor! will leave you thankful for modern medical advancements.

Exhibition developed by Moreton Bay Regional Council.
