Follow the Gold: Tracing Mining Ancestors in Australia

This Queensland Family History Society presentation by Shauna Hicks examines how to trace your often elusive mining ancestors and their families.

The online presentation covers a wide variety of resources across Australia, such as Trove, trade unions, hospitals and historical institutions such as libraries and archives.

The speaker uses examples from her own mining ancestors in Copperfield, Charters Towers and Gympie in Queensland plus the Victorian and Western Australian goldfields.
