Getting the most out of FamilySearch

Queensland Family History Society

Jump-start your family research

Did you know that more than half the records available on the FamilySearch website are not accessible from the opening ‘Search’ screen?

In this session, you will learn how to find many more records that this extensive resource holds, with case studies and examples.

In addition, you will see the tools available on this site to help with family history, including the world’s most extensive genealogical wiki.

Our QFHS Library and Resource Centre is a FamilySearch Affiliate Library. You can view many FamilySearch digitised images of parish registers and other documents at the Library and Resource Centre that are not accessible on your home computer.

Join Charlotte Sale as she guides you through the many facets of this website, demonstrates its use, and provides hints and tips to help you use the site.
