Ghosts of the City: A Toowong Cemetery night tour

Join Queensland’s leading paranormal historian and ‘Haunts of Brisbane’ creator Liam Baker for a unique night tour in the majestic Toowong Cemetery.

‘Ghosts of the City’ explores some of the ghost stories that have been a part of Brisbane folklore for decades. Delving back into Brisbane’s historical record, Liam will examine the tales of:

– Brisbane City Hall’s haunted staircase
– Petrie Mansion’s mischievous ghost
– The spectral lady of Kangaroo Point’s ‘Nunnington’
– The Slaughter’s Falls phantasm
– And more!

You will visit the graves of the people involved in these stories, taking in the extraordinary atmosphere of this beautiful place at night. This is NOT a theatrical tour.

This tour is suitable for ages 12 years and up. Contains adult themes.

Walking difficulty: Medium. Please be aware that this tour does involve walking (slowly in stages) up a hill in the cemetery.

All our tours are not-for-profit and the money raised goes to our cemetery history and maintenance projects.

Presented by the Friends of South Brisbane Cemetery in partnership with the Boggo Road Gaol Historical Society. Tours are operated under license from the Brisbane City Council.
