Presenting…Chasing the Sunshine – The Sunshine Express and the Sunlander

2023 will be 70 years since the first air conditioned trains entered service on the Queensland Railways, the Inlander commencing in 1953, the venerable Sunlander in June 1953, and the Midlander and Westlander in 1954; however, the route north and going for the sunshine of north Queensland really began in the mid-1930s with the Sunshine Express.

This will be a hybrid meeting at our Family History Research Centre and by Zoom. Please register your planned attendance whether attending by Zoom or in person.
