Swap the hustle and bustle of modern life for a day of old-fashioned charm. Come along to Pine Rivers Heritage Museum’s Simple Living Saturday.
Experience the joys of a simpler time. There will be many free hands-on activities the whole family will enjoy!
At the butter-making activity, you can learn how to make homemade butter. You will be surprised at how simple it is.
There will be a quick pickling demonstration where you can discover a simple way to preserve fruit and vegetables.
Enjoy a day of family fun with cute farm animals the kids will love spending time with.
Get into the Christmas spirit with all-day Christmas crafts. Everyone can create their own timeless, old-fashioned, Christmas decorations.
Program of events
- 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM: Old fashioned Christmas crafts.
- 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM: Farm animal meet and greet.
- 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM: Butter-making activity and tasting.
- 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM: Quick pickling demonstration.
The museum is open Wednesday to Sunday, 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
