The Governor’s Wife and Portrait Photography

Sunday lecture at Miegunyah House Museum.

Lady Lamington came to Brisbane with the newly invented Kodak Brownie and she, like many mothers after her, took photos of her family.

Dr Katie McConnel will show some of these family portraits taken by Lady Lamington and will look at how these reflect on this time in Queensland’s history.

Dr McConnel is a passionate advocate for history and is the historian and curator for Old Government House, Queensland.

Numbers will be limited, please book.
