Woolstores and Warships: a short guided walk in Teneriffe

Join New Farm & Districts Historical Society (NFDHS) for a walk along the waterfront of Teneriffe to discover how the Woolstores on Macquarie Street were transformed into a busy naval base for the Allies patrolling the South Pacific during WWII.

Uncover the historical relics that reveal the history of the area and the events that have shaped its development into the Teneriffe we now know.

The walk is an easy one, all on level ground, and suitable for all ages and abilities.

Meet at the junction of Macquarie Street and Beeston Street in time for a 2:00 start
