Coming up April-June 2024 – Annerley-Stephens History Group (ASHG)
We'd love you to visit us at our new premises in the Yeronga Community Centre, 62 Park Rd, Yeronga.
Our monthly meetings are held at 6.00 pm on the 1st Monday of the month (February-November) except for public holidays when the meetings are held on the first Tuesday of the month. All are welcome.
Come along to one of our Talking History series, 7.00 pm following the monthly meeting:
- On Tuesday April 2nd at 7.00 pm hear Kate Dyson talk about Dickebusch, the Clifton Hill street with no front doors;
- Tuesday May 7 at 7.00 pm – a sneak peak at the history of Villa Street, Yeronga. ASHG has been engaging with former and current residents of Villa Street about the street’s history. Hear what we’ve learned through historical maps and documents; hear about life in the street in the 1920s and 1930s, the 1950s and 60s and beyond.
- On Monday June 3 at 7.00 pm hear Mark Baker talk about The Rise and Fall of Service Stations in Annerley.
If you can’t make it to Talking History or the monthly meetings then drop by and say hi to us on Wednesday mornings 9.00-12.00 midday.
